Shadyhill's A Party of Four CDX TT TDI CGC48 viewsSammi passed over the bridge on Monday December 13th. I did want to add a little story to go with it though, I thought you would certainly appreciate it. The picture that is included with this email is Sammi sitting and listening for the big boomers to come. Sam loved thunder and lighting storms. He would go on high alert as soon as the rain would start, that was the early advancing troops as far as he was concerned and would run up and down the walk way chasing and sniffing the rain drops. But as soon as the thunder started he was a very happy man, he would run up and down the door yard, tail up and wagging and head up and grinning. We called them big boomers and all he would have to hear was that and off he was. As he aged and started losing his hearing, he could only pick up on the biggest claps of thunder but in the last year he hasn't been able to hear any of them. Very sad when we would get no reaction from him when the big boomers came.

On the night that he went over the bridge we exited the vets office and almost immediately were met with a big bolt of lightening and a tremendous clap of thunder, we looked at each other and said "Sammi arrived over the bridge" When do we ever get thunder and lightening storms in December. I know the boy heard that one.

Thank you for choosing him for us all those years ago, and thank you from a whole lot of other people that took great joy in Sammi the entertainer (especially one little girl who the pediatric nurses claim Sam healed with his visitation) and Sammi who was a joy to us and to all who encountered him.
